Do Real Players Need a WoW Guide? Yes!
Is a WoW guide helpful just for beginning players, or for advanced players as well?
Both players new to the World of Warcraft and those who have played it for a long, long time can benefit from a detailed guide written by an experienced player.
There are many reasons why; new players may find themselves floundering in the WoW world without knowing the best quests to do, the easiest way to mine for ore, or the quickest way to raise their gold level.
The more experienced WoW players may want a guide because they’ve gotten far enough to join a guild and they’ve realize when they talk to their guidemates that they have so much less gold than everyone else, or wonder if they’ve wasted a lot of time leveling up and if there might be a better way for their next character.
Whatever the reason, there are so many people who devote themselves to mastering Wow that it isn’t difficult to find a really, really good WoW guide.
They can be classified as:
Freebies
These are the websites that have public pages telling you exactly where to go and what to do. The good thing about these sites are that they don’t cost a dime, but the bad thing is that you constantly have to alt-tab from your game to a webpage to find out what to do next. Also since they are freebies, there’s really no incentive for the writer to keep them updated. Because his bills don’t get paid just with goodwill.
Guides you Pay For: In PDF Format
You can always find a useful WoW Guide that is an electronic book. These are usually pdfs. You can buy and download them, and they are typically very detailed. But you still have the problem that you either have to print them out and constantly shuffle through pages as you play, or alt-tab to them.
Guides you Buy
Most of the guides you find today, specifically leveling guides, have advanced far enough that they are now in-game addons. Since there is no switching from the game to the guide and back again, these are the most effective guides. The addon produces a pane right in the game like WoW players are used to seeing. The interactive window gives you instant tips that cut down the time it takes you to level up dramatically by guiding you through multiple quests in the same area. It also tells you where exactly to go by putting an arrow on the screen. It can tell when you’ve finished a quest so that it automatically bumps you to the next one.
